As far as medical careers go, podiatry is much less fraught with the possibilities of being involved in a major lawsuit than, say plastic surgery. If you excel at working with people, running the ins and outs of a small business, and the sleuth-like work of asking questions and making observations in your evaluations and diagnoses, you'll have a good chance at a long and prosperous career keeping the feet of the world marching to their own drummers.
You'll also need to remain up-to-date on medical advances and new surgical and drug therapies so that your practice stays cutting edge and continues to attract patients.
And if all else fails, your own clod-hoppers should be in such great shape that you can fall back on being a foot model. Let us know how that goes.
