Oread, a mountain nymph, yells at the sea. She tells it to "whirl up," and compares the peaks of its waves to pine trees in the forest. She commands the sea to "splash" its "pines" (well, really its waves) upon the rocks. She commands it to "hurl" itself over the land, and to cover all of us landlubbers with water.
The end. She's a pretty bossy nymph, if we do say so ourselves.
