By the end of the movie, it's difficult to tell who our real narrator is. Is he more himself (whoever that may be) or is he more "Tyler"?

His weird sense of déjà vu comes from the fact that he has already been there. All the places Tyler has traveled are places he too has traveled thanks to his job and the fact that he is Tyler.
