Physical Danger
Operator error: it's a term used frequently by telecommunications techs. When others do it, it's often listed in reports as an "ID-1OT" error (source). Be careful, because you're likely to make a few of those errors yourself (source).
Telecommunications workers have a better than average chance of getting hurt on the job. After all, you're subject to electrical shocks, falls, and burns, although these usually aren't serious. But, they're often caused by—you guessed it—operator error. The most important thing is to remember safety precautions and concentrate on your work. All that stuff you learned about avoiding electrical shocks and other hazards of the job only work if you use them, so don't brush them off.
