The position is likely to change quite a bit, especially as technology continues to progress in leaps and bounds. There's a high chance that all work will be done virtually and you may not even meet face to face the people for whom you work. 

But, fear not, because as long as currency and businesses continue to exist, there'll be a need for someone to crunch the numbers. Positions in this field may become a little more competitive to get, but if you're already embedded, just make sure you roll with the tide, evolving and adapting your practice to the ever-changing technological world. After all, numbers rule everything.
