The numerator looks like it can be factored into x times 3x + 2.
- 00:29
Hey look... 3x + 2 is in the numerator and denominator...
- 00:34
...which means we can cancel those two out for all x's as long as 3x + 2 isn't zero.
- 00:40
3x + 2 is zero when x equals -2/3.
- 00:44
...so we have to remember that -2/3 is not a valid solution.
- 00:48
We're left with x equals one... ...and it looks like the answer is (C).
