Thank you We sneak We're talking about batman parents teachers
- 00:06
This all started back in the nineteen forties and it
- 00:08
was the california state guard or something like that They
- 00:12
were patrolling the coast doing what they do best and
- 00:15
you know protect in california from japan invasion so to

speak So this guy named major malcolm wheeler Nicholson decided
- 00:23
that he wanted to kind of help the paratroopers out
- 00:26
And so he had this idea of putting wings on
- 00:29
the paratroopers you know sales or whatever it is something
- 00:32
like that They kind of held them out the idea
- 00:34
west so that when they were flying in enemy territory
- 00:38
they could you know have a little bit more control
- 00:40
before they decided to pull their shoot And then you
- 00:43
know go into enemy territory I don't know it's a
- 00:46
huge deal here It sounds like something out of a
- 00:47
comic book And so yeah he wants to put the
- 00:50
wings on there and have them flying enemy territory Because
- 00:53
if they were just normally pull their shoot then there
- 00:55
would be i guess susceptible to more enemy attack So
- 00:58
you had sitting ducks or what So he's doing this
- 01:01
Whole thing And so he wants to get a bunch
- 01:02
of jumpers to go and test this stuff And so
- 01:05
this really famous jumper guy by the name of like
- 01:07
nicky morgan he was like okay i'll come test your
- 01:10
chutes for you I can how come do this and
- 01:11
i'll bring some of my buddies along he grabs a
- 01:13
couple of his buddies then they go and test them
- 01:15
of these things Some of the tests go well for
- 01:17
the majority of the test kind of failed so he's
- 01:19
like nah nah man i don't want to do anything
- 01:22
with it This doesn't seem like it's going to be
- 01:23
safe Why don't we get anybody else hurt And we
- 01:26
were scared and we're like professionals so if you get
- 01:29
the amateurs out here doing this and then they fly
- 01:31
around and what if they fly into a tree lighting
- 01:34
to a mountain or something like that You never know
- 01:36
that's always like no i'm gonna wipe my hands on
- 01:38
that And so then major nicholson wheeler wheeler nicholson whatever
- 01:42
his name is he's like okay that's fine that's cool
- 01:45
whatever and that was that but fun facts before he
- 01:48
decided to propose the wings He decided he wanted to
- 01:52
found a comic book Publication is called the national allied
- 01:55
publications and you might not know that it is now
- 01:59
But later on it turned into comics so that's pretty
- 02:03
corrupt quite mind blown So maybe that's where the idea
- 02:07
of batman came from I'm not quite sure because if
- 02:09
you started out with a batman paratroopers and if you
- 02:12
couldn't do it in real life but maybe he wanted
- 02:14
to do in the comic books And so then there 00:02:16.465 --> [endTime] you have it Batman paratroopers
