Case Description: Complainant (Menelaus) accuses Defendants (Orestes and Electra) of murder in the first degree. When Orestes and Electra sought sanctuary with their uncle Menelaus after the murder of Clytemnestra, Menelaus instead condemned the bloody siblings to death.
Case Status: Case closed. To try to prevent their execution, Orestes and Electra, along with Pylades, took Menelaus and Helen's daughter Hermione as a hostage. The standoff was broken by Apollo, who told Orestes to travel to Athens to stand trial before the court of Athena.
