According to Marvel Comics, Odin is 6'9" and weighs 650 lbs (source).
The outnumbered Swedes who won the Battle of Lena against the Danes in 1208 believed that Odin led them to victory by riding at the front of their charge on Sleipnir (source: Starbäck, Carl Georg & Per Olof Bäckström. Berättelser ur Svenska Historien. Stockholm: F. & G. Beijers Förlag (1885–86)).
The Christmas tradition of leaving out stockings for Santa to fill is said to derive from Scandinavian children's custom of filling their boots with hay, apples, and carrots for Sleipnir, which Odin would then replace with gifts (source: Santa Claus, Last of the Wild Men: The Origins and Evolution of Saint Nicholas, Spanning 50,000 Years. p. 171–173 and chapter 9).
Wednesday takes its name from the Anglo-Saxon form of Odin's name: Woden's Day becomes Wednesday (source: Oxford English Dictionary, "Wednesday").
