The poem's final question is mysterious. The speaker might be rhetorically reminding his lover that ghosts cannot die. Or his dissatisfaction might be so great that he cannot bear that thought of living any longer in her absence. He would rather die. After all, if another day went by, that would be a total of 4,800 years.
