Positive, Comparative, Superlative

Like the bowls of porridge in the Three Bears' house, adverbs have three forms:

  1. Positive—when you don't want to make or imply a comparison
  2. Comparative—when you want to compare two things
  3. Superlative—when you want to compare three or more things
