This Common Core standard is pretty self-explanatory. It's also the same as the kindergarten standard, although there should be fewer leading questions. While "Did Isaac Newton come up with the idea of gravity after an apple fell on his head?" might be a good question to ask a kindergartener, its first grade counterpart might be "What happened to Isaac Newton after an apple fell on his head?"
