Part of understanding our language is understanding prefixes and suffixes. Those suckers can change the meaning of a word faster than Usain Bolt can run the 100-meter dash, so make sure you're hitting them alongside regular vocab work.

It's important that we help students understand prefix and suffix changes, how they fit the word, and how they work for or against the definition.
