You'll be famous, in a certain sense. You'll be famous when your toys end up in the hands of thousands of children who shriek at the very idea of opening one of your creations on their birthday. Your plastic masterpieces will remain in children's hearts for their entire lives, long after the paint is worn off of the toys. They just won't ever know your name.
Nobody, after all, thinks of Ruth Handler, Richard P. Knerr, or Arthur Granjean when discussing famous toy-making folks. You'll never see candid snapshots of Alfred Butts in a celebrity gossip magazine, nor will history books ever sing the praises of George Lerner.
However, if you're happy to live vicariously through the fame of your creations, then knowing these trailblazers created the Barbie Doll, the Hula Hoop, the Etch-a-Sketch, Scrabble, and Mr. Potato Head place them well within the category of famous.
