Glory
For most, it's just a dream that will never be attained, but that possibility of the win is always out there, hovering, flying around the track in front of you like an elusive, artificial hare…or…wait. That might be greyhound racing.
But yeah, if you can smoke all your competition on the sport's biggest stage and secure yourself a major victory or two, all the struggle and heartache will have been worth it. Just to hold that cup above your head, to kiss it while the flashbulbs pop in your face, and to know that you are—for that moment, at least—the best in the world at something. To know that you have captured your chosen sport's highest honor. The glory, or at least the potential for future glory, is what keeps it interesting.
