You're pretty powerful. Sure, on the soccer field, you have to do what your coach says and follow the advice of your managers and publicists and agents. You're not always calling the shots.
But there are also a lot of perks associated with being the person actually taking the shots on the soccer field. Let's just say that if you're a professional soccer player and you walk into any bar, you're going to do pretty well for yourself. Think of how many people will want to be buddy-buddy with someone whose face is regularly on television.
