If that giant worm that you pull out of a patient's eye turns out to be radioactive, poisonous and vicious...that could be dangerous to you. But for the most part, it's highly unlikely.

You could also slip up with a laser or scalpel and cut yourself. Not to worry, it's merely a flesh wound.
