Fame
Oh boy. Famous postal workers...famous postal workers...nope, this isn't going to be a long list. So, let's get one thing clear right off the bat: Anyone, from any profession, can get a little batty. Or, more than a little batty. We're not saying there's something special about postal workers, but yeah, there's sort of something special about postal workers.
It's no secret that the term "going postal" has come to mean lashing out in some way. It's been all over the news, there have been many famous shootings by postal workers...and unfortunately those seem to be the only famous people in this field. It freaks us right out.
Of course, once the term caught on, every single time anyone did something even mildly crazy, people were ready and waiting with a handy label for it. So, maybe it's not entirely fair. And maybe you'll find fame as a postal worker by doing something else. Probably not...but maybe.
We'd definitely like to see someone in the industry give it a try.
