Fame
Except for a very few retail nursery workers who write garden columns or host radio shows, not many are going to become famous (and even those things don't really make you famous). Most nursery workers probably like it that way.
It's certainly possible, and probably beneficial, to be known throughout your particular community, though, so build up that reputation of being proficient and knowledgeable at all aspects of your job. Having a good reputation isn't quite the same as being famous, but it definitely beats being chased around by paparazzi.
