The odds are long for the guys and gals steering the gigantic planes you cruise around underneath. Becoming a pilot is tough. But in this line of work, you're not a pilot; you're more like a bellhop who works in a warehouse instead of a hotel. Provided you aren't crazy, a criminal, frail, or just completely useless, you can totally get this job.

If for some reason you're having a hard time finding a job, don't dismiss part-time or temporary employment. Some people start out coming in a couple days a week. The airline might fire you when the winter rush is over, but you have a good chance of being re-hired when they have an opening.
