Glory
There's about as much glory involved with arboriculture as there is fame. It's certainly glorious for those who do it, but doesn't get much notice to outsiders once the work is done. Even the most famous of trees eventually dies a natural death, taking all the noble intentions of preservation with it.
Enjoy the glory while you are out in a raging storm at 1:00 in the morning, cutting up a massive fallen oak so that the utility cables below it can be restored. No one else will see you. They're all warm and dry inside, and will be angry in the morning when their electric alarm clocks are flashing "12:00" and fail to wake them.
