Character Role Analysis
The Wicked Witch of the West
And just as Dorothy kind of projects her heroine qualities in giant letters across the sky, so does the WWW show us what a villain she is. Actually, come to think about it, she literally projects her antagonistic qualities in giant letters across the sky, as well as threatening defenseless terriers, unleashing armies of monkeys and hurling balls of fire at gentlemanly scarecrows kind enough to help a little girl on the road. In fact, every other awful character in the Wizard of Oz is either working for her, a blood relative of hers, or her mirror image in the real world. Talk about hogging the spotlight.
