None? Really? Isn’t Sally Jupiter a mentor for Laurie? How about Hollis Mason when he swaps stories with Dan Dreiberg, or Dr. Manhattan’s onetime professor, Milton Glass? Nah, those stretches are stretchier than Gumby in yoga class. As long as Rorschach’s the protagonist, he prefers to work alone. Everything he’s earned in life, he’s scraped and clawed for the hard way. His old pal Dan might break him out of Sing-Sing or fly him to Antarctica, but even he’s no guide figure. He can’t even get Rorschach to heat up his beans.
