Madame Raquin Timeline and Summary

Mme Raquin dotes on Camille and raises Thérèse from a baby. She arranges for Thérèse and Camille to marry when they are old enough.
After the family moves to Paris to set up shop, Mme Raquin also holds regular Thursday gatherings with her friends.
When Mme Raquin hears about Camille's death, she is devastated and doesn't leave her room for several days.
Months pass, and Mme Raquin is eventually convinced by Michaud that she should encourage Thérèse to marry Laurent.
After Thérèse and Laurent are married, Mme Raquin leads a very content life at the shop until she suffers a stroke that leaves her paralyzed and mute.
