Darth Vader drops by the Death Star to tell the construction crew to get their butts in gear: The Emperor's coming for a visit.
The Emperor tells Darth Vader not to go after Luke; Luke will come to him.
When Han Solo leads a team of Rebels, including Luke, to deactivate the Death Star's defense shield on Endor, Darth Vader senses something fishy is going on.
Luke surrenders to Darth Vader on the Death Star, and Vader brings him to the Emperor.
Darth Vader battles Luke, lightsaber-style. He resists Luke's pleas to ditch the Dark Side and embrace his true self.
Luke corners Darth Vader, but refuses to kill him. Instead, he chops off his hand.
When the Emperor attacks Luke with Force Lightning, Darth Vader intervenes. He kills the Emperor, but sustains critical damage.
