Poor Pyramus and Thisbe. They were so looking forward to getting the heck out of Babylon, getting hitched despite their parents wishes, and living happily ever after. Of course, like a whole bunch of other ancient myths, the tale of Pyramus and Thisbe doesn't have a happy ending. The young lovers' dreams, hopes, and plans are spoiled by one lioness, a bloody veil, and a series of highly unfortunate misunderstandings. Instead of living happily ever after, they both end up dead by their own hand. Yeah, it's heavy stuff.
