Character Analysis

Christopher is another one of Obi's friends. We don't know much about Christopher except that he loves women and partying. He provides a contrast to Obi because he finds it completely acceptable that women should use their bodies to bribe men in power (such as Obi) to give them favors. Even though Christopher seems thoroughly untraditional, in the end Christopher also adheres to traditional Igbo culture, and criticizes Obi's decision to pursue Clara. Unlike Joseph, however, Christopher waits until the relationship is over before he tells Obi what he really thinks.
