In Twilight, when Stephenie Meyer wrote about Bella’s dream of Jacob transforming into a wolf, she didn’t mean to foreshadow Jacob’s transformation. In fact, since Twilight was initially supposed to be a stand-alone novel, she had no idea that Jacob would actually evolve into a major character and into a werewolf. (Source)
Due to a widespread feeling amongst readers that Jacob has some kind of dark agenda, Stephenie Meyer wrote a character portrait on Jacob Black entitled "Being Jacob Black." (Source)
Stephenie Meyer hit number 26 on the 2009 Forbes Celebrity 100 List that measures the pay, web presence, and press notoriety of celebrity figures. She was tagged as a $50-million earner and Forbes said, "Thanks to the success of Meyer’s Twilight series, 2008 became the year of the vampire." (Source)
After learning that the film adaptation of New Moon would be directed by Chris Weitz instead of Catherine Hardwicke (director of Twilight), many fans worried that Weitz wouldn’t do justice to the book. While filming the scene of Bella’s-birthday-party-gone-awry, Jackson Rathbone (who plays Jasper in the movie) got so into character that he not only knocked over co-star Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen), but had to be restrained by his co-actors. (Source)
