Alaska Young Timeline and Summary

Alaska returns to Culver Creek Boarding School, meets Miles "Pudge" Halter and helps introduce him to a life of mischief, smoking cigarettes, and drinking alcohol.
Alaska gets herself kicked out of class with Miles in a show of solidarity.
Alaska and her friends get caught smoking by the Eagle, and she takes the punishment for it to show that she can be trusted.
The Weekday Warriors flood Alaska's room and her Life's Library—needless to say, she becomes determined to get them back.
For Thanksgiving, Alaska convinces Miles to stay on campus with her. They drink and smoke and plan the next prank.
They go to the Colonel's trailer for Thanksgiving, and Alaska admits to the Colonel that she's the one who ratted out her roommate and roommate's boyfriend to the Eagle.
During the prank on the Weekday Warriors, Alaska admits to her friends in the barn that she feels responsible for her mother's death (her mother died of an aneurysm when Alaska was eight, and Alaska, who was there, didn't call 9-1-1). She drinks until she throws up.
The next night Alaska makes out with Miles despite the fact that she has a boyfriend Jake, whom she professes to love.
Jake calls post-make out, Alaska talks to him, comes back to the room crying, and drives off in a fury.
On the highway to visit her mother's grave, a very drunk Alaska sees a jackknifed truck and a cop car, lights flashing and siren blaring, blocking both lanes of the highway. She crashes into the cop car and dies instantly.
