The Invisible Man and the Iping villagers

This should come as no surprise, but the Invisible Man doesn't really fit in well with the Iping villagers. The Invisible Man is just "the stranger," while all the villagers know each others' names. He speaks in understandable English and they speak with a thick accent. Oh, and also, he's a murderous killer and they're not. The country bumpkinness of the Iping residents makes the Invisible Man's craziness even more obvious.

The Invisible Man and Kemp

You know how in cops-and-robbers movies there are always two friends, and one of them becomes a cop and the other becomes a criminal? That's pretty much the deal with Kemp and Griffin. They went to school together, but they end up in totally different worlds. Griffin gets killed by a crowd, while Kemp leads the crowd to kill him (sort of). So what the heck happened? Why did they end up in opposite situations? Was it because Kemp had money and Griffin didn't? Was it because Griffin was an albino and never felt like he belonged? Or was it just their personalities? We can't say for sure, but there's definitely some major foil action going on between the two.
