Matt (Matteo Alacrán)

Matt is a classic hero and protagonist whom we root for and watch grow. He joins the ranks of classic heroes like Harry Potter, the young King Arthur, Frodo Baggins, and Luke Skywalker. Matt isn't perfect, though. He has a temper, he sometimes makes really bad decisions, and he can be blind sometimes (as his complicated feelings for El Patrón reveal). But Matt constantly struggles to improve himself and the world around him, which makes him a true hero. He takes risks, stands up to bad guys, and fights for the right things. Bottom line? Matt's the central figure in The House of the Scorpion – from beginning to end it's all about Matt.
