Character Analysis
These two are Mr. and Mrs. Guizac's children. Rudolph is twelve and Sledgewig is nine. As with Mrs. Guizac, their characters are not developed at all. Rudolph is at least is given the role of translator, and Sledgewig is apparently in communication with the Shortleys' daughter, Annie Maude. Having fled Poland with their parents only to witness their father's murder in the new country, we can be sure that these kids are having a difficult time.
