Context
This line is written by Matthew in Matthew 20:16.
Here Jesus is telling the Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard, where everybody gets paid the same amount regardless of how much work they do. So even if some workers came into the vineyard first, and started laboring early in the morning, they would get just as much as the guys who came in three hours later. Confused? So were the disciples.
